Start with the business.
Before a design or website brief, we need to understand what you sell, who needs it and why someone should choose you.
We help small businesses and organisations manage social media, explain their services clearly, build useful websites and create recognisable branding. You work directly with the founder.

I started Matheson-Hazzard because capable businesses often have useful expertise and interesting projects but little time to turn them into clear website copy or regular social media posts. People who could benefit from their work may never hear about it.
Before starting the agency, I worked in policing and youth development, alongside scriptwriting and copywriting. Those roles taught me to ask useful questions, listen properly, find what matters and communicate information clearly.
Those habits shape the work: ask questions that uncover useful stories, write them so customers understand and publish them through social media and websites. The same approach helps when a business needs a new identity or better website.
I lead the strategy, quality control and client relationships. You work directly with the person responsible for the work, with specialist support agreed in advance when a project requires it.
Before a design or website brief, we need to understand what you sell, who needs it and why someone should choose you.
Someone on your website or social media page should quickly understand what you sell, who it's for, why it matters and how to contact or buy from you.
Your identity, website and content should work in everyday situations, on the devices and platforms your customers use.
Businesses change. We plan for new services, updated website details and regular social media posts rather than treating launch day as the finish line.
We work with founders, small businesses and organisations that want clearer website pages, regular social media content or branding people recognise.
The starting point changes. The responsibility stays the same: define the work, communicate it accurately and deliver what was agreed.
